The exhibition presents work protection in a number of different ways: it shows the world of workers as an independent living space and gives visitors insights into work protection. Retrospectives and overviews demonstrate how much progress has been made over the years. Various displays and reconstructions provide visitors with a tangible perception of the issues. Films and demonstrations convey an instant sense of the various stages of work and the technical processes involved.
The German Protection at Work Exhibition comprises the following areas. The Information Centre gives general information about work protection. The section entitled "On the screen" deals with information and communication techniques. The section "Keeping in time with the machine" is devoted to work-related health problems and work protection in conventional factories. "The race for the latest scoop" focuses on work connected with the newspaper industry. "Better safety on the building site" deals with surface and underground construction, and "Every amount of tension" explains the various aspects of the energy industry.
