The impressive spoil tip which used to belong to the Prosper colliery is one of the most important landmarks in the region. The ascent alone offers a lot of interesting views. And once you reach the plateau at the top there are some great impressions of coal and steel. On the one side a huge field of dead rock gives visitors a palpable sense of the material from which the spoil tip was created. On the other side the Tetrahedron is the major eye catcher.
