Visitor Centre - Gateway to the Ruhrgebiet

A 58 metre gangway, the highest outdoor moving staircase in Germany, leads up to the Ruhr Visitor Centre on the 24 metre level of the old coal washing plant. The Ruhr Visitor Centre is the principal venue for anyone wanting to get comprehensive information about the "Industrial Heritage Trail", the Zollverein World Heritage Site, and other industrial and cultural attractions for tourists in the region. Daily guided tours presented by the Zollverein Foundation also start here.
